This Social Media Policy outlines how I, Dr. Maurita Hodge, on behalf of Moving Mountains Consulting, LLC, engage with clients, readers, students, and community members across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube. My goal is to create safe, empowering, culturally affirming spaces while maintaining the highest ethical standards.

  • Do not share personal or clinical information in comments or DMs.
  • I cannot discuss treatment, symptoms, or therapeutic concerns via social media.

Clients may choose whether to follow my accounts, but I will not follow clients back.

Direct Messages (DMs): DMs cannot be used for:

  • Therapy questions
  • Processing emotions
  • Emergency or crisis needs
  • Clinical advice or support

DMs may be used for:

  • Event, speaking, or collaboration inquiries
  • Retreat, course, or coaching questions
  • Administrative or general business matters

Comments & Engagement: I welcome positive, respectful community interaction. However:

  • I may remove comments that include personal health details, harmful content, or anything that compromises safety.
  • I will not provide therapy or extended consultation in comment sections.
  • I reserve the right to block accounts that violate boundaries or disrupt the community.

Tagging & Sharing: If you tag me:

  • I may “like” it, but I will not repost client-related content.
  • Tagging me does not establish or acknowledge a therapeutic relationship.

     Feel free to share posts for inspiration or educational purposes.

Crisis Situations: I am unable to respond to crisis messages on any platform. If you are in immediate danger or need urgent support, please contact:

Testimonials & Reviews: To protect confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines:

  • I cannot request or accept client testimonials.
  • I cannot respond to reviews or comments identifying a therapy relationship.

Former and Current Clients: Former clients are welcome to engage with public content, but:

  • I cannot discuss past, present or future treatment online.
  • Any return to therapy requires formal intake and updated consent.

Professional Boundaries: I adhere to ACA and LPCA of GA ethical standards. These boundaries exist to protect:

  • Your privacy
  • Your emotional safety
  • My professional integrity
  • The quality of care offered through my services
